Terms & Conditions

This page informs you of the terms and conditions on which we supply any of the products listed on our website to you, whether these are goods, services or digital content. 

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before ordering any certificates from our site. You should understand that by placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. You should print a copy of these terms and conditions for future reference.

​1. Information about us

1.1 We are Official UK Certificates

2. How the contract is formed between you and us

2.1 After placing an order, you will receive an email from us acknowledging that we have received your order. Please note that this does not mean that your order has been accepted. All orders are subject to acceptance by us. The contract between us will only be formed when a UK reference number is allocated to your order.

2.2 If we are unable to accept your order, we will inform you of this at the earliest convenience and you will not be charged for the services.

3. Our services

3.1 The service we provide is seeking and obtaining the relevant certificate or document, then arranging for it to be posted to you. We are not responsible for the contents of the certificate or document itself, which is provided by the relevant government body.

4. Consumer rights​

4.1 You may cancel the order at any time before the order has been accepted by us

4.2 Once you have been allocated a UK reference number, you no longer have the right to cancel the purchase or obtain a refund, as all certificates and documents are personal to the consumer and therefore cannot be resold. 

4.3 If we are unable to obtain the relevant certificate or document due to incorrect details provided or are unable to locate a match, we reserve the right to deduct a search fee of up to £25 (subject to clause 4.4 below).

4.4 If we are unable to locate an exact match but find possible matches for your certificate or document, we will notify you. You may wish to repurchase on that basis. 

4.5 If we are required to update an order due to incorrect information provided, an admin fee will be applicable.

4.6 Your order will be fulfilled by the delivery date set out, if no delivery date is specified, then within 30 days of the date of the Acceptance Confirmation, unless there are exceptional circumstances.

4.7 We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to fulfil an order, or delay in fulfillment of, any of our obligations under a Contract that is caused by events outside our reasonable control (Force Majeure Event).

4.8 A Force Majeure Event includes any act, event, non-happening, omission or accident beyond our reasonable control and includes in particular (without limitation) the following:

4.8.1 strikes, lock-outs or other industrial action;

4.8.2 civil commotion, riot, invasion, terrorist attack or threat of terrorist attack, war (whether declared or not) or threat or preparation for war;

4.8.3 fire, explosion, storm, flood, earthquake, subsidence, epidemic or other natural disaster;

4.8.4 impossibility of the use of railways, shipping, aircraft, motor transport or other means of public or private transport;

4.8.5 impossibility of the use of public or private telecommunications networks;

4.8.6 the acts, decrees, legislation, regulations or restrictions of any government.

4.9 Our performance under any Contract is deemed to be suspended for the period that the Force Majeure Event continues, and we will have an extension of time for performance for the duration of that period. We will use our reasonable endeavours to bring the Force Majeure Event to a close or to find a solution by which our obligations under the Contract may be performed despite the Force Majeure Event.

4.10 We may have to temporarily suspend the site or orders to:

(a) fix technical problems or make minor technical changes;

(b) update the product to reflect changes in relevant laws and regulatory requirements; and/or

(c) make changes to the services as requested by you or notified by us to you.

5. Price and payment

5.1 The cost of delivery of any product will be displayed at the point of purchase.

5.2 All orders shall be sent to your billing address using the delivery method selected at the time of placing the order. 

5.3 The products will be at your risk from the time of delivery. We will not be responsible for any loss, damage or non-delivery.

5.4 We may require additional information from you to complete your order, if this is the case, we will contact you accordingly. 

5.5 If the information required is not provided in a timely manner, we will not be held responsible for the delay in fulfilling the order. 

5.6 Ownership of the product will only pass to you when we receive full payment including delivery charges. No payment will be deemed to have been received in cases of chargebacks from the credit card company or bank in respect of the Products.

5.7 Payment for all products must be by credit or debit card. We accept payment with Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard, Maestro, Solo, Google Checkout and Paypal. No payment shall be deemed to have been received until we have received cleared funds.​

6. Your rights to end the contract

6.1 If you are ending a contract for any of the reasons below, the contract will end immediately and you will receive a full refund.

6.1.1 We have informed you regarding an error in the price or description of the services on the website. 

6.1.2 If you cancel in accordance with clause 4.8

6.1.3 You have a legal right to end the contract

​7. Data Protection

7.1 Except as expressly set out in these terms and conditions, all use of your personal information will be made in accordance with our privacy policy

7.2 By registering any of your personal details with us, you are agreeing to allow us to contact you regarding any of our own products or services. We may pass your details to a third party unless otherwise indicated by you.

8. Protecting your security

8.1 By accepting these Terms and Conditions you consent to such checks being made. In performing these checks personal information provided by you may be disclosed to a registered Credit Reference Agency which may keep a record of that information. You can rest assured that this is done only to confirm your identity, that a credit check is not performed and that your credit rating will be unaffected. All information provided by you will be treated securely and strictly in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

8.2 During security checks we may ask for additional information or documentation to help support the data you have supplied.

9. Written communications

9.1 Applicable laws require that some of the information or communications we send to you should be in writing. When using our site, you accept that communication with us will be mainly electronic. We will contact you by e-mail or provide you with information by posting notices on our website. For contractual purposes, you agree to this electronic means of communication and you acknowledge that all contracts, notices, information and other communications that we provide to you electronically comply with any legal requirement that such communications be in writing. This condition does not affect your statutory rights.

 

10. Law and jurisdiction

10.1 Contracts for the purchase of Products through our site and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) will be governed by English law. Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with such Contracts or their formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
